i recently went go karting with my work and just love the way they handle round corners sliding everywhere and rapid acceleration! are there any cheeky little hatches that go like this or can you not experience the same feeling without going rear wheel drive??

back in the day when they were new a few of my mates had 1.6's and 1.9's and rated the 1.6 higher for handling.

    How about the Metro vvc

With a good driver tbh the M3 CSL would be long long gone.

I agree but also Cadwell Park is a very technical circuit and smaller cars do suit it alot better. Put the same 2 cars on say Brands Hatch or something an th M3 will be off in the distance.

I disagree, i know the guy who built and drove that car...that M3 would not have a chance at any circuit against that metro im afraid :D

Anyone can drive fast on a straight. Years ago jackie steward wanted to familiarise himself with the Nuremberg track as it had been a while since he'd lapped it so he went out in a VW beetle of all cars, also with a couple of journalists in it, imagine the weight, even though he overtook some tasty vehicles and still got a decent time. Like they say experience is everything and £100 spent on driving lessons is worth a lot more than £k's spent on tuning etc. I think the VVC metro is fantastic, just under 200bhp per ton for maybe a grand. I can't think of a better deal than that, except someone said check out Novas with the Vauxhall redtop engine dropped in
