GLX tuning

sorry for being quiet so long between collage and work ive had no time to post whist i was at home over Xmas the car went in to the garage for some minor work namly the ECU whilst i was there i was talking to the mechanic who advised me the the glx gets its extra power from having a different air intake system to the standerd model and doing anything like an induction kit system would loss the extra power it has is this true

That is certainly the case for many smaller (under 1.6) engine sizes.

so the intake is sorted what should i do next

Exhaust - fuelling, or cams?

any suggetions on the exhaut how can i improve it without increasing the overall noise generated
as for fuel any specific brand

I was thinking more of uprating injectors and Fuel Pressure boost valve. But use a high octane fuel and see how that goes - shells V Power seems quite good.

Exhaust - a sport cat would add a little power and not make more noise.
