Glow Plug Light Flashing

I ahd a problem with my 1.4 TDI Polo whereby the engine management light was on intermitently. This got fixed as there was a faulty water temp sensor.

I have now just experienced a flashing glow plug light when driving. After 30 seconds it vanishes. I looked in the haynes manual and it says its an engine management light. I thought the engine light symbol was the engine management light?.

Anyway without going through the diagnostics check at garage what does this light mean or is it a trip to the garage.

Get it scanned and get the code. A faulty brake light or brake sensor can cause this problem along with lots of other totally unrelated things.

Do your brake lights work ok?
