Been trying to change the fuel filter on my car, but the nuts around it are rusted shut. I'm going to keep spraying it with WD40 over the next few days and try again in a few days, but has anyone else had this problem? How did you solve it?

Can you get a socket over it and an extension? Does it grip good? Try a crack bar or something but be gentle with it. Other than that keep spraying. When you do get it out make sure you empty the system before dissconecting the pipes to filter.

It might be easier to just cut it out from the pipes and insert a new housing depending on how it is mounted. If it is badly rusted it may not seal properly. In my Rover this happened and I had a fine jet of fuel squirting over the engine. For the cost involved and time you will save it makes sense. ;)
