Fuel differences.

Main difference is the ron

Im pretty sure that v power is now all 99 ( used to be 97 or 99)

Im sure total ex is only 97 and pretty sure bp ult is as well

The other petrol worth looking at is tesco momentum ( yes really) as that is also guaranteed 99 all the time

It depends what the engine you have as to how important the ron is .
.
Turbo cars tend to need a higher ron as do higher tuned engines.
More importantly if your car has been mapped for 99 then that is what you should use

I think there is also a difference in additives but that is less important IMHO

The only reason I ask is because i've been using bp and total as those are close by, but the other day I filled up with V-power and was amazed to see it is nearly 10 pence dearer than the rest.
Tbh I can't see why there is that much price difference?

I try and use V-power wherever possible and the car likes it, I have a BP fuel card and use Ultimate but I only use it if there is no Shell station available.
Tesco Momentum @ 99 ron is exceptionally good value BUT!!! the queue going into that station is just ridiculous and it would seem to be at all hours of the day! Would like to give it a go though.

Vpower tends to go further for me, I worked out that the extra cost is made up in extra miles covered between fill ups.
