Hi mate and welcome to TorqueCars. To be brutally frank the tiptronic box is sapping a lot of your power.

Induction kit, sports exhaust, Mivec conversion, gas flowed head etc would give you another 20-30bhp.

A supercharger would add around 40-60bhp but I don't think the box can handle this much of a gain. (If theres any other FTO Owners out there who know feel free to chip in....)

Depends on what noise you want really. The BMC carbon enclosed boxes seem to be well recieved for the power hike. HKS exhausts are pretty nice sounding and not bad for power. You really need to ask around as see what other FTO owners have done. I'll see what I can turn up for you from my mates experiences.

Not sure if you can convert to MIVEC the GPX engine wont fit straight in as well mounts are different
take a look on Eurospec 2000 www they are near Guildford and specialise and are running mighty powerful FTO's
I have the GPX but use ITG filter works great and sounds even better on MIVEC :)
Exhaust is stainless cat back mongoose from camskill that sound great as well but quiet enough to get through the MOT seems a lot of FTOowners are having probs with the plod re exhausts mind you I'm an old git and only wear me baseball cap in the garden
the cat bypass doesn't appear to be much benefit and garages moan and it does not seem to be worth the hassle of crawling around underneath every year prior to MOT HTH

I'd say the sport cat is a better bet than a decat. It saves the hassle and is so close a power difference that you wouldn't notice the two.

You either swap the cat back in for MOT (which takes all of ten minutes) or accidentally leave £10 on the dashboard :amuse:

I do hope I'm not leading you lot astray

ok well iv decided to get another HKS dragger exhaust system .. as this was already on the car when i brought it i wasnt aware of how much the system cost!! anyone know anywhere i can get it for less than 570 quid including VAT??

decat, cold air pipe and cone filter and adjustable fuel regulator , then ecu remap and you could also go with a 50 shot of nos if you wanted , but wouldnt go above a 75 shot unless you have some head work done first.
