FTO MIVEC (manual)

Hi

I’ve not long just bought myself a FTO. I fancy doing a few improvements to the car and wondered if anyone has any past experience / advise for me?

Hi harvey85 and welcome to TorqueCars its nice to have you along.

The FTO is a nice car - the tiptronics were aweful though so it's good you've got a manual. If you are serious about power I would say to get an old VR4 engine and do a swap - the standard engines can soak up a lot of money for not a lot of return.

The usual sports exhaust,induction kit, FSE fuel boost valve and MIVEC controller tweak to change the timing will help get another 20 or so BHP. The VR4 engines gives a massive power hike and gives a better tuning base to work from.

not really just wonderd what was involved as it sounds interesting,and it could be good for my next fto!
