I have just happened across this website and wondered what you guys might think about it, if you can spare the time, have a look at the testamonials and the FaQs, I couldn't believe what i was reading!

I too, was so disgusted about it i emailed the DVLA and included a link to the site there as well, I'm just glad you guys feel the same as I do, the thing is, all they're doing is exploiting a loophole in the law but it grants people who have either lost their licence through negligence, haven't taken or have failed a test, a brand new licence with no history to it!!!:evil:

got a reply to my email saying it had been passed to a specialist department for investigation, i'll let you know if hear anything else:)

well well, this is intresting. was wondering how long the 'open market' would take to come back and bite us on the rear end.

shameful and totally unrespective of what laws are in place to protect us citizens !!!

unfortunately suspect that this is completely legal due to the bureaucratic laws of the EU, they pass the laws so quickly and dont consider all the loopholes, any halfwitted lawyers can no doubt find holes. If you were hit by one of these drivers could you imagine the insurance paying out? doubtful.

. the most concerning part i read was at the end:
"It is your legal right to hold any member countrys' E.U. driving licence. Ideally, you should be driving on a licence that is issued in a different EU country to the country in which you are resident and driving for a number of reasons. The main reason is to make it more difficult for the authorities to log a permanent record of your driving licence and driving history should you be prosecuted for driving offences."

It is clearly telling people how to get away with prosecution, note the company offering this serivce is in Gibraltar so no doubt hiding from many laws. Glad to hear you've passed this on BFF. Hopefully the DVLA will pull their finger out on this one.

I got a reply to the email i sent the DVLA about this site, this is taken straight from the reply

Dear Mr King

Thank you for your email received on 3/3/11. Your email reference number is 572966.

Thank you for your email about a website that appears to be offering full driving licences for sale and for the information that you have provided the Agency.

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) is very concerned over allegations that individuals may be able to obtain a driving licence without having to demonstrate competence to drive. This could have serious road safety implications and also raises concerns about identity crime, should such documents be obtained in false or stolen identities.

DVLA takes the integrity of its systems very seriously. Genuine DVLA issued documents employ sophisticated physical security features to make them very difficult to replicate, allowing counterfeit documents to be identified more easily. To keep pace with threats to the security of the driving licence, DVLA launched in June 2007 a new, highly secure polycarbonate licence personalised by state-of-the-art laser technology. The new licence contains a variety of new security features, making it amongst the most secure documents in the world.

Internet based criminality is very difficult to combat effectively and the police service is the only organisation within the UK with the skills and resources to identify and take action against those behind such website's. The intelligence that you have supplied to us about the website has been passed to the Police for the appropriate action to be taken.

Well I think it's now a case off, watch this space!
Let us know if you hear anything else on the subject BFF :)
