Just watching a programme on the t.v. about cheap import parts from China. It's about replacement air bags, brake discs & alloy wheels. Some of the results are quite alarming.
It was highlighted initially by a find of thousands of fake air bags for Honda cars found in the U.S.A.
All I can say is that if you're buying replacement parts like air bags, there is no substitute for genuine parts from a genuine dealer.
The fake parts were mostly for sale on e-bay.
Do your research on parts, a bit more money spent on certain parts from a genuine outlet may dent your wallet but not as much as it could damage your life.
The prog was Fake Britain on BBC, episode 7/10 if you can find it.

The China turbos are shockingly bad in general. Everyone loves a bargain but be warned.

Every deal is a bargain :) The trick is differentiating between good and bad ones.

ball joints on our cars are prone to this too. camskill stopped selling the aftermarket versions after a few failed after a relatively short time (within months) so they only sell OEM and we only buy OEM
