Extractors

Im after more power from my 2000 cuore. are extractors the way to go? And if so how much ?

Fitting a better extractor system won't produce any more power than the engine has been designed to make but but it will allow the engine to deliver that power. Standard exhaust systems are a compromise on price, performance and noise.

An after market system, providing it has been designed properly, will allow the engine to breath more efficiently and therefore produce the power it was designed to make.

It will also help when you start to make mods that actually produce more power (head work, cam changes, etc).

Thanks for clearing that up. I wanted some more noise from her, i added a sports muffler w the same tail pipe. Still no good, too quiet. The exhuast guy suggested removing the first muffler, bullet?, for more noise... I'm notsure. Their arent many 3 cylinder headers online. Looks like custom job, unless anyone has any? 3 cylinder Headers/extractors , otherwise are they expensive? Big job to install?

removing the 1st silencer will help with the noise. so will ditching the cat if regulations in oz allow it.
wont really help with power thou
