Hey everybody, I am looking to buy an exhaust system for the polo and at first i was going to buy a powerflow system, but after reading some reviews im not too sure. Lots of people are complaining about the quality and that the noise (depending on which dealer you go to) is near enough always wrong compared to what they asked for. So iv started to look at scorpion systems and i just wanted your guys opinions. Thanks

think scorpion is louder.
powerflow will be fine as long as you say exactly what you want and that they mandrel bend the pipe.

tbh your not going to see much of a gain on the 1.6 so doesnt need to be exactly a race spec system

Powerflow exhausts are fine just lo long as you aren't going crazy with the performance of the car. You'll see an improved throttle repsonse and they do sound alright. I had one on my Civic for a while, however when I got a Greddy exhaust I noticed the difference in quality. The problem with Powerflow is that they bend the pipe meaning the width isn't the same all the way through.

You are kidding ? Powerflow are some of the most aborted cock ups of systems i have ever had the misfortune of witnessing. Most of them are put together by people who can barely weld let alone have any comprehension of a motor car or what an exhaust is for. How many of you have looked at the mess they make and actually know what you are looking for/at ? All the ones i have seen have been M.I.G. welded and very poorly too. I doubt if they even know how to operate a T.I.G. welder which is the best machine for welding Stainless Steel with, however, when you advertise that your product is Stainless and don't quite declare that it is the lowest grade of Stainless Steel allowable to be branded as such, you can get away with using a M.I.G.
Do yourself a favour, either buy one which has been made for your car and proven to at least NOT decrease power or find a specialist who will make one to your requirements. You may pay a little extra for a genuinely good system but it's better than wasting good money on a Stevie Wonder special.

mine was in good nick when i ripped it off the car when i stripped it down. maybe im just the exception to the rule

nope mine is sound

it just depends on the garage doing it cause i have had a few powreflow system from the same place with no issues!!!!

we had a Scorpion and actually it was very quite but had a good low burble about it. on the car for 8 years in total and never a problem with the exhaust only one of the hangers went as it was carbon steel and rusted away. well worth the money
