exhaust scrapping on ground noise?

Driving to work today and noticed a rattle like sound or even metal scrapping on the ground like noise. I thought the worst! Sh#t exhaust falling off. Got to work and checked it out and no exhaust is fine. Could it be the cat Falling apart inside? Only sounds when your moving. Like metal bits inside the back box jumping around.

Check all of the exhaust mounts as well. Get someone to rock the car whilst you are underneath, that should help narrow down where the problem is.

checked your pads? Granted it doesn't make a rattle noise, but thin pads can make a horrible noise. if you have drums on the rear, maybe one of the retaining springs/washers has fallen off the pin that holds the shoes in place?

Had a customer come in saying he has a rattle noise, couldnt find the issue for anything. untill i span the rear wheel as i was walking past, and sure enough. spring being thrown around the drum.
