    Hi Guys,
I own a Mazda 6 2009 and it develops this sudden engine surge at low speed.
What could cause engine surging at very low speed?

It's some sort of an irregular engine vibration. I notice it at low speed

Have you checked all the easy to find things?
Is it presenting as a vibration through your steering wheel? Rumble on the wheels? Our just the engine block rattling around

Can you reproduce it at a standstill and video the results?

An engine check light has popped up on the dash board. Diagnosis results have an error code P2009 intake manifold runner control low circuit bank 1

    A quick search on https://www.yourmechanic.com/
    gives this:
    What causes the P2009 code?
    • Wiring harness has an open or short
    • Faulty or stuck intake manifold runner
    • Electrical connection that is less than optimal
    • Intake manifold runner control solenoid has failed.

If you are competent in the engine bay it may be fixable yourself. Otherwise (like me), get it to your mechanic of choice.

    Thanks Brother,
Could it be the reason my engine block is rattling?

If the intake manifold it somehow borked it could causing a misfire on one of the cylinders. That does present as a rattle. Albeit a big one and I don't think the word "rattle" is sufficient :)
