Hi Guys,

So i have installed a new pod filter replacing the standard airbox filter on my 2.5L vectra b, it's running like a dream an sounds amazing. After about 2 months the Emissions control light has come on and is staying on (not flashing) codes are going to be read next week from the ecu. Would this be a related problem with the pod filter? Has anyone else had a problem like this before?

Cheers

hey and welcome.
its possibly could be. was the filter heavily oiled when it was fitted ? is so this may have covered the MAF in gunk causing it to give bad readings. has the car felt sluggush lately?

chances are it could just be a dodgy lamba sensor

hey, the filter was brand new k&n off the shelf, so it shouldnt have been heavily oiled, i have reset the ecu, and so far no warning lights. think it may have just been a sensor malfunction. But will just have to wait and see. Fingers crossed it doesnt come back on

thanks for ur reply
