dump valve for focus st2

hi guys ive recently bought an 07 plate focus st2 and want to stick a dump valve on it but have been told it is really hard as it will play about with the engine management system... any ideas?? have been told that the light will stay on after it is fitted... is it worth all the hassle lol.. cheers

I don't see any problems with you fitting a dump valve. As far as i'm aware it won't do anything to the Ecu. Someone else may prove me wrong but I can't see any problem with it.

It might be the same as the Audi engines in the closed loop system. The answer is to get a partially atmosphric dump valve. This gives you the best of both worlds.

They are more for show than go. I'd spend the money elsewhere, get a remap done as this is probably the best money you can spend on the car.
