Hi all

Ive had a new clutch and dual mass flywheel recently fitted to my Mondeo Zetec petrol 2003 52 plate 5 speed car. My question is does my car actually have a dual mass flywheel fitted to it. Ive been told that it does not.

Please advice

Hello and Welcome to TorqueCars.
Hope you enjoy your time with us.

I know the ST220 has a dual mass flywheel fitted. But i'm not sure whether the 1.8 has or not?

I'm with Waynne on this one it should only have a DMF if it's diesel!? Why did you get it fitted out of curiosity? Just that most people I know tend to go for a single mass flywheel as they are lighter and I'm having the same argument with myself at the moment!

First answer would be if they said they have fitted a DMF then they thats what one would normally imagine has happened.

My next question is who said that it hasnt got one .

If the car is running right then it almost certainly has the right one whether its DMF , SMF or even WMF .

You were probably given the wrong info by someone who thought he knew what he was saying ( quite a few of those about )
