When filling up your car do you use the provided plastic gloves?

Apart from the awful smell of fuel there are many health implications from getting it on your skin.

What are your thoughts on this?

I have never worn gloves for my fuel, I did though when I had to fill up the company diesel van, how is it possible to get so much diesel residue on the pump handle for goodness sake?

No never have never thought about it.
Maybe superunleaded ingested might be better in the morning than black coffee.

Considering the amount of 5 star I swallowed in my youth (we always seemed to be syphoning the damn stuff from one place to another- nothing illegal I hasten to add), a small amount getting on to my hands will make little difference.

I remember the BP at George Green on the A412 with the three handled thingy for choosing 2,3,4, or 5 star fuel.

I only ever saw people loading 5 star into the Rover 3500 V8 models. All the Anglias, Vivas etc were on 4*.

VW's mostly on 2*

Dad's Fiat Mirafiori on 3* cos he was indecisive

^^ Separate pump choice; I barely remember this from my old Cortina MK1 days :embarrest: No idea what I used to put in the tank.
