Assume the extremes, extreme heat or extreme cold. Weather needs to be dry as none of us particularly like driving in the wet (or do we)?

Which do you prefer and why?

I think I prefer winter to summer, the car just seems much better in terms of performance and handling and I don't like being hot, having the aircon on just saps too much power.

Winter. With overcast skies so I don't get blinded by the low sun.
The cold air is better for turbos :)

Aye, what he said. Even on a bog standard diesel turbo you can feel some difference from hot to cold days.

And on a related note, can summer just go away now? Everyone's back at work, and I'm bored of muggy nights.

I'm actually quite enjoying the warm weather at the moment (as long as I'm not driving). Dark afternoons are not good for me! If we could have a lighter winter I'd be happy!

I can't watch iplayer now they insist on you having a licence :-( Strictly is something I'll miss watching though.
