Are you a driver who always, usually, or frequently and most of the time ...

a) Pays for parking in car parks and observes time limits on street parking
b) Never pays for parking and totally ignores parking time restrictions

Does it pay in the long run? How do you feel about other people from the other group?

I've been known to take a chance for 5 or 10 mins while going to a cash machine and under massive time pressure for example but in the main I always pay and observe the parking restrictions.

Interestingly I've heard you are allowed to park for a few minutes on double yellow lines as long as you aren't causing an obstruction. I was told this by a traffic warden when I asked him why he wasn't putting a ticket on a car that the driver had just parked in front of said warden! The warden said he had to give the guy a few minutes "unloading/loading" time. The guy went into a shop, bought some cigarettes, got back in the car and left. I was a little shocked.
