D.I.Y decat pipe for zr 105....?

really fancy a decat manifold, but dont want to buy a new 1 to find out it will put the management light on, or run really poorly. so..... what do you think about getting a standard manifold, chopping the CAT out and weld in a bit of stainless as a bit of trial and error to see if it will work...?

Hello and welcome to the forum,you could try the above!,i put a decat on an r33 skyline which had a wire connected to it,when the decat was fitted the dash light was on permantly as the wire was not connected to the decat,on fitting a decat to my r34 which had no wire on the cat there is no light lit up,so i would think that if there is no wire connected to the cat no light will come on,if you have a wire on your cat you may get a light on the dash if tha cat comes off!,hope this helps, hope you enjoy the forum!.
