I've been noticing that it takes my car a little bit longer to start than I think it should. It is especially bad on cold mornings. To begin with I thought it was just the cold but it seems as it's getting worse but then again it has been very cold the last few days. The car is a 2003 model and driven under 30.000 km (18.645 miles).

Could there be anything wrong with the starter or alternator or something else

If it's cold, damp & the car's is turning over strongly but not starting then it could be your HT leads need replacing. Try spraying some wd40 on the leads this may cure the problem short term. Have your battery Checked too. :D

It's a 2003 Hyundai Getz which my family owns but I get to use since I go to school in another town so I need to be able to get myself around
smqall car = small battery, loz could be on to something alright
the fact its a newish enough car probably something stupid, do what loz says and get back to us:D

Well we got down to -17°C last week and it was under -10°C most of the week so it could be something like that. I'm going to chek this next week when I can put it in a garage and se what's going on
