convertable to ute conversion

Hey guys im wanting to build a ute for my next car and was thinking about the potential of a saab 9-3 convertable as there are no structural issues as with using a saloon car and was wondering if you guys had any thoughts or ideas on the subject.

Just because a convertble has extra stiffening doesnt mean that are there no structural issues making it into a ute

You are still going to have to cut bits out ?

Ive seen this done on the mk3 astra a dew times using different base vehicles 1 being an estate 1 being a van and 1 being a convertable
From what i saw and read they are all possible but the van was the easyst base vehicle to start from

hey cheers for the input guys. As long as nothing changes ill be going for a convertable and having a removable hard top in carbon fibre. Going to be a fair amount of effort as im moulding the cf and grp panels myself
