Clk 270 cdi remapping

Hi All,

I have a diagnostic tool that I have found will enable me to remap the ecu. I can read the current ecu but am looking for a modified file to reprogram the ecu with. Does anyone know where I can find this type of file.

This is pretty specialised stuff. Most car makers use a range of maps on the same models depending on the year so you have to be really careful. I would try and track down the open ECU project which are a community of custom mappers. I'm not sure they actually have examples for the Mercedes yet.

For the time and effort and risk I would just take it to a pro and let them do the remap for you.

Thanks for your reply. I have never got around to remapping because I could not get a modified file. Do you have one that would suit this car.

I remap cars for a living and remapping your car takes it from 170bhp to 218bhp and the torque from 273 lb/ft to 342 lb/ft. I normally charge about £295.
What hardware have you got that is able to take the correct data off the ecu to enable a remap?

Old thread may still be relevant ........I also have a clk270cdi i have read the ecu and have original file , i have been given a modified file but not brave enough to upload to ecu until i understand more about the modded file , you are both welcome to the files if you wish

It would be better to modify the original file rather than overwrite with a generic one. Apart from anything else you'll overwrite all the chassis numbers, engine numbers etc.
