Cars You Remember when a Kid

Hey chaps been looking through some old photos i dug out from the attic found some right gems.

My old mans Triumph 2000 CC car it was his pride and joy was member of the car club and everything he changed the paint from original brown to a metallic blue. Does anyone have any images they remember growin up around a certain car? I used to specifically Remember the car having a Overdrive button on it haha

Whatever I get the back seats etc will be coming out.
Thinking about getting a 1.1 Fiesta or a 1.3 Escort and then getting a Fiesta Rs turbo lump. Seen a fair few go for around £500 and they more or less bolt straight in.

My dad's P6 Rover 3500 v8, which he had when I was around 5 or 6 years old.

Lovely car in its day.

My dad had one of these as well, the other one i remember was the Chrysler 180 in gold

Me too. The more I think about it the more I want to do it.
Wouldn't mind an XR2 but prices seem to be too high for i'd want to pay. :sad2:

My parents didn't drive when I wa a kid but I remember my sisters boyfriends having some pretty mint cars. Mk1 escort then an xr3i swapped that in for a 2.8 cortina. It got pretty booring after that to be fair.

I've had some pretty sweet modern classics though. My personal favourite was my mk2 UNO turbo ie closely followed by my 190 cosworth bought on eBay for less than £200!! I was the second owner of that. It was sat in someone's garden for 3 years and it started first go with fresh fuel and jump leads!

my mum had a d reg m6 bmw that i got caught by the police driving at 15. my eldest brother had a tickford turbo capri. and other brother a mk 1 escort with a 2.0 pinto in it. loved that car. learnt to.drive in it. my first car a mk 1 fiesta xr2. at 17 then got a mk2 rs2000
