Is Carnuba car wax as good as they say it is ? I've seen it for sale at classic car meets for €20/tin while LIDL sells it for €3.99 for roughly the same size tin. I have used the LIDL version it and it appears to be good but not outstanding.

I think you will find they are not the same product.

There is a silly mark up on some car polishes but not that much

Some cheap products are very good. It depends what you're after in a wax really. The more expensive ones boast longevity and stunning looks, whereas the cheaper products often only look good, or last a long time perhaps even to a lesser degree.

Perhaps it is not the same product? However with regard to LIDL products all I can say is that I have been entirely satisfied with all the tools that I have purchased there. I have worked an angle-grinder that cost me €19 to the bone (when I moved house 5 yrs ago) and it is still going strong. Most people would agree that their tools are brilliant for the price. I think their carnuba is what is says-carnuba wax no matter who sells it.
