what sort of cars and how many have the members of torquecars had in there time and why did they choose them/get ride of them because of problems??

I'll start

mk2 fiesta, got it for free from my mum, didnt have a licence so traded it for a scooter (was 16) a few years ago now ;p

1st car: Astra Mk3 1.4. I was given it by my dad when he had a new car. I kept it a year and sold it to a mate when the MOT run out.

2nd car: VW Polo 1.4. Bought it off a mate expecting VW reliability. GOD I WAS WRONG!. The windows didn't work properly and always had an intermittent engine management light with no code behind it. Thank god it was off when I sold it!

Current car: Skoda Fabia vRS. Had it a month, been perfect so far.

1st fiesta mk2 1.1 had it 3 months was free but to small

1, mk2 fietsa 950cc popular bought it when i turned 17 and after failing my first test and my mate passing his i decided to sell it to him

2, mg metro 1300 i lowered it put a turbo kit on it it was fun handled really well untill the wheel fell off i changed the flange discs wing then i killed the engine by over filling it with oil 15 ltrs iirc plus what was in there :embarrest: had a new engine fitted then spotted a nova sr for sale in the local garage asked about it he told me it was sold but his part x was a mint nova merit liked the car when i saw it so did the part x

3, nova 1.2 merit i added the sr bumpers, spoiler, wheels, and interior did some stupid colour changes raced some more powerful cars realised the car was slow so went for a

4, nova sr didnt really do much apart from back box and sound system loved the car untill my mate was selling his

5, nova gte absolutley mint really didnt have to do much casue my mate had already lowered it added a full system smootehd the door handles and boot all i did was add a system i took from the sr then i lost my license for drink driving :embarrest: stupid i know but we learn from our mistakes then 14 months later i bought a

6, 205 1.4xs i added the gti kit lowered it, k&n filter, full system, alloys, sound sytem great car but after a 1.4 seat arosa left me for dead i wanted more power so i bought a

7, 205 1.6 gti alredy done up by a mate great car in every aspect couldnt find a fault with it then my mate wanted it back and offered me a part x i couldnt refuse so then i had a

8, clio rsi i only added wheels, lowered it, added a sound system and a back box another great car i couldnt fault until the clutch started slipping so sold it to my mates cousin and bought a

9, clio 16v i added wheels, lowered it, added a sound system and a full exhaust system another great car i couldnt fault until the car decided to have a head on argument with a tree and lost so i bought

10, 405 estate for £100 had 6 months mot & tax and just as a run arround until i found another

11+10, clio 16v and swapped all the bits from the previous 1 but kept the 405 aswell cause this is when i decided to become a subcontractor and it was a great work horse then i got the phone call of a mate to tell me his his car was a cat d right off so i ended up buying his

12+11+10, mk3 astra gsi for £500 and it had been lowered, new alloys, 288mm brake upgrade, full scorpion system with decat, star chip, kent cams, piper x filter with a k&n spare, full leather retrim, laserline cat1 alarm & immobiliser with alot of service history and every receipt for all the above then came the dreaded words from the mrs you cant have 3 cars so 1 had to go and i said goodbye to the clio cause i fell in love with the gsi then came mot time for the 405 and the news wasnt good so sold that on and then came the time i had been saving for for quite a while i had £5,000 in the bank for a car i had wanted for a long time a celica gt-four st 205 test drove quite a few then the mrs dropped the bombshell i want a baby so ended up selling the gsi and buying the

Morris Marina, 40 shades of blue, £300, sold after a year for the same.
Austin Allegro, canary yellow, hideous, slow and couldn't handle. So much for buy british.

Volvo 440, bomb proof but not exactly sexy...
VW beetle, bought for the wife, loved it but it went to a firey end (quite spectacularly)
Nissan Primera, waste of metal, sold to father-outlaw because mother-outlaw liked it!
VW beetle, built the engine from the crank case halves outward, sold for more than we paid when Mrs rapidwagon got so pregnant she couldn't drive it...
KLR650, ZZR600 motorbikes so I'll leave it at that.
Porsche 944 in guards red, bought on eBay, drove for a year, sold on eBay for a profit.

90 2.0 prelude - nice fast car as weighed very little, cracked head meant misfiring and flooding of the engine until it warmed up
03 bora - going strong apart from the waterpump

Right then, I'm not going into likes or dislikes, there are to many, but everyone will have been modified to some degree.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that! It's just personal preferience from me. Toyota do make good car and some reliable one's too. They are just not a car for me thats all. I have nothing against Toyota what so ever!
