I have just inherited a 1995 Saab 9000 CSE 2.0 turbo. The car is in immaculate condition and has only done 50,000 miles. However it is locked and in Park and there are no keys. Does anyone have any suggestions since I'm not sure Saab is still in business. I sold my last one about ten years ago-a 900 turbo. I'd appreciate any helpful suggestions as I think it may make a stunning car when it's sorted.-Jay

Hello and welcome :)

It seems like you have an interesting well looked after Saab with a small problem that should be able to be rectified by installing a new ignition switch and key.

There was a long term member called T9 who has / had a highly modified turbo Saab as a daily drive car who was in the UK club so with a little bit of searching you should be able to make contact with the UK Saab community as I feel sure that they would have answers for you.

I've been told that there is an ignition module that will need to read a compatable signal from a transponder chip in the key. I'm not sure how to even get into the car as the doors are locked. I've never broken into a car in my life and definitely don't want to do any damage.

The RAC should be able to open the doors.

Unfortunately modern security systems can be a pain when things happen.
