car alarm

ive just moved house and the last 2 nights my alarm has decided to just go off at 3 in the morning waking me and all my neighbours and they dont seem to like me cause of it it never happened before could it be a case of cats just jumping up has when dustbin men go past i dont seem to set it off?
my bonnet is slightly raised would this be a factor?
is there anyway i can turn down the sensitivity, its a clifford c 300.

Why is the bonnet slightly raised? I assume you have a bonnet switch for the alarm so that would be my first check to see that it is still being depressed sufficiently for the alarm. Just to test this theory out, when you find the switch tape it down with some gaffer tape and see what happens tonight.

because it has had to the top mount replaced with a 4 branch manifold and the owner before raised the bonnet so the manifold does not touch the bonnet its self its only a slight raise near the windscreen. il have a look for the switch cheers
