Heel and toe braking is an important track day skill to master and if you can do it you feel like a driving pro.

But I've noticed that in a lot of modern cars the brake and accelerator pedals are offset just enough to make it really hard to do. At best you can ball of foot on the brake and outstep of foot on the accelerator.

What's your cars setup like and do you heel and toe?

Yes, but it is done by using both sides of the right foot rather than the heel and toes.

Tried this once in a Modified Cavalier, I looked a right muffin after I stalled the car approaching a fast bend :embarrest: The right footwear certainly helps ;)

Left foot braking is easy for me, do it fairly often without thinking now. The peddles are offset in the Fiesta so you can't use the side of your foot, and the accelerator isn't long enough to use you heel either (which if fine btw...whatever you are comfortable with!)

Haven't tried in the Focus though.

ive tried it in my beamer and its easy to do as the peddles are closer together and the go peddle comes off the floor. but i aint very good at it lol
