Bought a 58 reg Fiesta Zetec S last year I decided to change the brake fluid as part of good practice (2 year cycle).

I then discovered the previous owner/garage had broken off the bleed nipple on the nearside caliper.

There is about 1 mm of flared nipple left and enquire if anyone has any ideas as how best to remove it so I can replace with a new bleed nipple.

Thought about jamming a screwdriver in it and turning or even getting a screw/stud remover to see if I can back wind the old nipple out.

Any ideas are welcome.

When these get stuck they do a pretty good job of it.

Remove caliper from the car.
Balance it so that the nipple is pointing straight up.
Build a fluid proof ridge around it out of plasticine or similar and fill with penetrating fluid.
Leave overnight.
Wind in a stud remover and trust your luck is in.
If stud remover snaps (quite likely) throw caliper away and get a replacement from a scrap yard or eBay.
