Hello everyone!

If some of you remember me, my car is an Alfa Romeo 156 2.4 JTD. You guys suggested that I do a remap which I did and I'm blown away by the results. Speaking of things being blown, I want to buy a blow off valve. Nothing special, I just want it for the aestethics. I want that "pshhh" sound when I go through the gears. A guy that I know has an electric blow off valve which can be operated by a switch of a button. So his car can be silent while changing gears or be all like "pshh". I want that, but I don't know which one do I need, where do I buy it and similar stuff. I live in Croatia, so I need a site that supports world-wide shipping. Price is not a problem, but of course, I'd save some money if I can.

Thank you in advance for all the responses and I am looking forward to the next ones!

Regards,
Matej

Shhhhhh BOvs on a diesel is a bit of a taboo subject on here ;) I think the fact that no specialist tuning companies manufacture or advertise a BOV for a diesel you will end up having to find a generic one from the Chav shops like Halfrauds or Naff Body Kits R Us.V(
I know what you mean about the sound, my GTR had a twin HKS SSQV setup and sounded epic through tunnels and narrow high streets but diesels just don't need them and sounded false when fitted. If it was me I would be spending money on the exhaust system and intake which will give it a beefier sound, which actually I am doing at the moment on my Golf:)

In car terms someone who may do this to his car so basically has more money then taste. Kind of person who thinks a cherry bomb back box exhaust will give them a gazillion more horsepower and all that bodykit will help the car corner like it's on rails at 25mph. Show off basically:)

Chav = Ricer ? :lol:

Not necessarily. Some ricers know what they are doing. A chav car will, generally, have no power but extremely stretched tyres with huge amounts of negative camber. It will also have a huge body kit. They tend to frequent shopping centre car parks so they can show off their mega sound systems to like minded chavs.

Diesels do not have a throttle, so no air is forced back to the turbo when letting off the gas. To fit a BOV to a derv, you'll need a switch wired to the accelerator and BOV, the BOV fitted before the turbo. If you want the BOV noise, fit an open cone filter the the turbo.

It's what we call them in the UK as well. We call large American cars Yank Tanks.
