You should always try our sponsors site http://torquecars.potn.com ;)

Ebay is a good place to buy if you know what you are looking for. There are also a few specialists around, bear in mind a lot of the Saxo engines are also used in Peugeots so often a pug part will fit your engine:D

Were in a sleepy village called bideford lol , right by the sea

Know it extremely well indeed. I like Bideford. My inlaws live in Cross St, Northam, just a couple of KM to the north.

What's your take on Bathwick Tyres? I've often had them sort tracking for me when I'm in the area (which is quite often) as they seem to have good working knowledge of the equipment and of cars themselves.

I like North Devon - we're considering relocating there as life is so much more sensibly paced than it is around here.

I Like East 'The Water. Town just bleeds into countryside with little more than a blur.

Mondays are a bit of a drag race for the pensioners (that area is full of 'em, as well); could say much the same of here. Gawcott is a fag packet size village on the outside of Buckingham surrounded by, err, not much at all really. The problem is that it's commuter belt - London is only about 70 miles away so as for any sense of community, there is none. About the same distance you are from Exeter I imagine.

We've been looking at Holsworthy and Buckland Brewer for possible relocation to the southwest. Any thoughts/ideas?

Hi again ,
East the water has changed the relief road going to the industrial estate this now has two housing estates built we are living in a newly built one on one of these with our back facing the road we have been here now for a year and still works going on around us lol , both the areas you have named are lovely green belt areas plenty of space and not much else though nice if you like that kind of thing but miles to go shopping and so forth it all comes down to personal preference and of course cost of propertys which are quite high at the minute

I do like out of the way places so I'm glad you've confirmed that for me.

As a side note have you discovered South Stroxworthy farm (Barton Farm) shop?

They supply truly sublime Devon Red beef along with any number of superb products.

No havent come across that one as far as i can remember lol , but then i have been all over the country (x HGV Driver ) so you never know lol

It's worth a visit - only about 20 minutes away from you.

But Bideford has got a very good Morrisons - we shop in there when we're staying away with the inlaws.

The other place I like is Brian Fords in Barnstaple. I know it's owned by Tesco now (since 2003) but I can't fault the place on price or quality.

There's a huge amount of locally sourced food on offer. A bit ramshackle from the outside maybe, but there's no snobbery about shopping there. I like the place for that reason as well.
