Benefits and cost advantages of LPG conversions

Has anyone on here got or had an LPG converted car? Any tips suggestions or pointers to pass on?

Would the cost savings be much for your average miles?

suspect a bit pointless from a fuel saving perspective as you have to drive around for such a long time to find an somewhere that sell lpg.

Plenty of LPG conversions here, LPG properly jetted, gives equal power as 100 Octane petrol, problem is that the cylinders tend to run a bit dry, also being heavier than air, any leaks tend to pool at the lowest point -a potentially dangerous scenario-
As dpsubaru says, ready availability is a big problem, here we have just a few LPG filling stations,resulting in the converted vehicles always having a reserve of petrol to switch over.
