Beetle Heat Exchangers

Hi all,

I am new to this so i hope i am doing it right!

I have a 1200cc 1970 Beetle import which is in need of some heat exchangers. I have an old 1600cc camper engine with heat exchangers on, i was wondering if it would be possible to take them from this engine and put them on my Beetle engine.

Any advice would be most appreciated.

Why not do an engine swap. The 1600cc will give more power and be better for tuning.

I've seen some stunning Porsche engine conversions on the Beetle's which seemed to be relatively easy to do.

I don't know if the heat exchangers are the same size. I would have thought the 1600 would have better capacity and cool the 1200cc engine more effectively but it wouldn't be the first time a manufacturer has used the same parts on 2 engines.
