Anyone tried this?

I decided, for a laugh, to download and try it out. You have to do 200 miles in order to get a score and assessment.

My mileage included a 90 mile round trip, mainly dual carriageway, to see friends in Kent and 4 days of parcel delivering (lots of stop/start stuff).

Assessment was mainly smooth but with occasional hard acceleration (in a 1.2 VW Fox?)

Braking was smooth as was cornering.

Average score is 7.4........

I managed 6! :) However, that still entitled me to a 14% discount. How bad do you have to be to not qualify for a discount?

methinks the vw fox may have helped

Not sure what you mean. I assume that the 14% discount is compared to what they would have charged me if I hadn't used the app, regardless of the car model.

The app doesn't ask for car make and model, so the discount would be on whatever I drive.

Just meant the fox is not the fastest of cars so harder to drive quickly

Agreed, but quickly is a relative word :) Acceleration is, obviously, not exactly spritely, but 70mph is 70mph regardless of the vehicle you are in.
