Wondering on straight opinions here, in terms of power and potential performance would it be more affective on a manual or auto gearbox?

Manual gearboxes generally tolerate higher power limits than auto boxes. Sometimes you get around it by lowering peak torque, but extending the torque band.

Gear ratios are also important with power upgrades, the factory setup assumes the standard power band, so increasing power or changing the power band may mean you get flat spots.

Thanks a lot that sheads way more light on the situation, does this count even on the account of a cvt, should that not handle the power more, having more options for power ratio?
