Audi R8 to become first diesel supercar?

It would obviously be a great idea to give diesel R8 engine, looks hot with extraordinary power and excellent fuel economy. Sounds like a winner to me too.

I love diesels but this is wrong. Like the Audi TT diesel I saw the other day. Clatter, clatter, clatter does not go with what's supposed to be a sleek, trendy sports car.
