Hi guys.
I'm converting my mondeo 220 engine over the next couple of years to accept a turbo, adding new forģed low compression pistons, grinding cams, balancing the bottom end, forged con rods and so on.
Can anyone give me contacts for parts for the duratec 30 and also company's that can help with the bits I can't do like the grinding and head work.

Burton motorsport are the Goto Ford Specialists.

CNC heads do marvellous work on engine heads, ask for a 5 angle valve job whilst your at it.

What turbo are you fitting? What are your power aims? Would it not be cheaper and easier to drop in a Cosworth YB engine and turbo?

Thanks for the info.
Yeah your right it would be cheaper and easier to fit another engine but I want to go where few people have been and not many people play with the duratec V6.
As for power gains, I've not got that far yet, I'm trying to get the engine as good as it can be to add forced induction, then think about how much it would take safely.
I've always wanted to do an engine and decided on this cause it's a ford and a common taxi car that everyone can relate too.

I like your thinking. Two turbos from each V6 cylinder bank would run quite nicely, or use a newer twin scroll turbo like the Borg Warners which I've just discovered.

If the engine is at the correct compression ratio for a turbo and is well balanced you should be good to go. Forged pistons/crank are sensible options and the head gasket will probably struggle with turbo pressures/power outputs.

The fuelling is something else to get spot on. Over specify the fuel pump and injectors, running lean could be fatal.

Got any pics? When you get to 10 posts please post up a project thread for us so we can follow your progress, it also makes giving advice easier when we see the whole build step by step.

It's in the planning stage at the moment, the car (Ozzy) is now sorn and is due to be taken inside then at the end of september or early october is when ill be commencing work and removing the engine, to be honest im in no rush to get it done.

Exactly my thoughts, so it's the engine first, then it's keeping the thing planted on the ground round corners cause it's a front wheel drive which means converting to 4wd then it's thinking about the power, I'll give it about 6 years of work and about 12k

Thank you for reminding me I should be looking into what I need for NOS system before I finish with engine rebuilding, I know I will need fuel injector, this is one problem I have is I don't have an idea where I am going with this project, what I mean is I don't have any end goals for the project it has been an evolving process.
