How fast should a family car get to 60?

Mine gets there is under 6 seconds. (It's a 4 door family saloon; that counts as a family car, right? ) If I were to replace the Scoob it would have to be faster than that.

The Spare Wallet Story.

Many years ago I was out drinking with a few friends. It was a barmy weekend afternoon near the local quay.
I was young and everything was bought with cash (unlike now when I rarely carry cash).
We started to run out. This was in the days when I was a chef and we weren't paid all that well.
One of my friends, most definitely not a chef, says (and I'm paraphrasing from near 20 year old memory), "Don't worry lads, I think I've got enough to cover the rest of the day; let me just check my spare wallet that I keep in the boat."

Yeah, in the boat.
