I bought myself a Peugeot 206 Gti 136bhp a couple of months back from a guy who took very good care of her, now I have her I seem to be encountering a few problems, sods law you may call it.

Firstly, when I'm driving normally a have a creaking/squeaking coming from the rear right hand side, this happens if the road is slightly uneven or even straight and smooth in some cases, any ideas?

And secondly, when I steer to the right there is a very high pitched squeeling, not very loud but it's loud enough to annoy me.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Check the suspension joints are properly lubricated and see if the bushings are worn at all. Creaking is often down to worn bushings in my experience.

Squeeling could be the power steering pump, does it do this whilst the car is stationary or just when it is moving. If when moving then it's probably not the power steering pump.

Does it when it's moving, seems to be worse when steering to the right. The sound is definately coming from the front right wheel somewhere.
