Had everything stripped out of my mk2 gto tt the other day, just about to put in a new alloy radiator only to realise there were two holes in the bottom. I know from my mk 1 that these holes were filled with sensors, but are blanked on the mk2! Are there any blanking plugs or something on the market for these holes or is it a case of getting mk1 parts from a breaker to fill the gaps? Tried looking for some bolts to cut down but the holes are quite big with a fine thread. If anyone is thinking of doing the same, be aware with twin turbos that some slimline fans are desireable, as things get very tight by the front turbo induction.

The rad should either come with blanks or you could ask your supplier, if that fails then just fit a pair of old sensors. I probably have a pair of duff sensors at the workshop if you get stuck.
Quite a lot of these ally rads require slimline fans.
