hi everyone, i am wondering whether to purchase an alfa romeo 147 1.6

now i see many of these on the road but i am not sure if they are reliable and if it is a good choice of a car for modifications??

As with any car if it has been looked after you should be ok. Avoid high mileage versions and you'll be ok. Full service history and preferably from an Alfa dealer would be top of my look out for list on them.

As far as mods go there is not a lot around for the 1.6. If you're wanting a car to heavily mod this is not for you but if you are only after an exhaust, induction kit, alloys and fast road cam with some suspension mods you will be happy with it.

Drive one if you haven't already they are lovely handling cars;)

thanks for your comments, the reason i want a 147 is because it is not a common car amongst young lads and because it is something different. i think that the insurance may be too high with a 1.6 but hopefully i can afford it. i am not looking to heavily modify my first car, i would like to give it a little extra speed but i would like to keep it stylish so everyone will know when i am driving..

Thankyou, Tej
