air filter replacement, mass air flow sensor?

just popped on a new cone filter on the punto 1.9 D i knwo it wont do anything for performance at all, its just for the sound, sounds real meaty. HUH! , anyway the airflow sensor has just kinda been left dangling theres no where for it to go, what do i do?. all my friends have the same prob, they run petrols there cars run fine, but it is bothering me about what to do with it.

when going from the standard air box to a cone filter this link shows what to do its a scooby but the principles the same

yeah the engine sorta needs the MAF to calculate how much air is goin into the engine.

does it not still stick into the intake pipe at one side? then get a silicone pipe for between the MAF and the filter pretty much like the link above shows

basiically , you'll have to work with me on this cause the picupload isnt owrking :/

engine---plastic pipe-----MAF fitted into custom plastic pipe------air box

iv cut the MAF tube down so its all connected, but my MAF has this valve in it, do they all have this?

so all i need is soem silicon piping of the same bore to put the MAF into?

sorry if this is confusing, if the pics would work youd understand a whoel lot easier lol
