hi,
just found this site!

Does anybody know of anywhere that cuts shapes out of car bodywork?
what im wanting to do is to have the shape of a scorpion like this - schttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk|Blue-ABARTH-Scorpion-Vinyl-Car-Sticker-Fiat-Punto-500_W0QQitemZ200292546297QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxZ20081228?IMSfp=TL081228117001r29297
cut and mesh'd on the bonnet of my abarth.
I think it will look good and assist a bit in giving the hot air in the engine bay somewhere to go (which should make a little improvement for the induction kit)
do I have to worry about water drainage etc?
any advice would be great! thanks

You can probably do something like that with a high speed jig saw. Laser cutting or a milling machine might be neater. I've seen some of these done on cars and it does look great but I dont really know how or where.

Water shouldnt be too much of a problem but does need to be taken into account. Dont cut this over the electrics for example.

I think that would look great, sorry I missed this post earlier!

Try your local bodyshop, accident repair specialist. If you can mark out where the cuts need to be and make sure its not going to break a support or make the electrics damp you should be ok. Where are you from? I know of a good guy in Ramsgate Kent that might be able to do this for you.
