ABS light stuck?

I just drove back to work in my 04 Forester, but as I was driving I ran over a stick, and now the ABS light is on and it won't go off. Any ideas?
Note: It was raining 15 minutes ago, so the road was soaked.

might have damaged one of the ABS sensors in the wheel arch

I don't think so, it was a pretty small stick, and I checked and its not still on the car.

doesnt need to be. if its caught the sensor it will have damaged it

it could also be fitted to the hub
