is there such a thing as an MG ZS dti, mines a 2000, 2ltr L, 17" mg spokes, 40 profile tyres, all the right badges 'n' stuff but its got lots of chrome on it ?, is it a fake,,cos if it is then someones spent a few quid on suspention , wheels, badges & it goes quick when the turbo kicks in at 2000 rpm ..
You should have a commission build plate inside the front door shut on the B pillar. As far as I am aware the ZS only came onto teh market in 2001 from a Y plate onwards. Unless yours is a pre-production Longbridge model? Everything points towards someone converting a 45 to an MG ZS look-a-like perhaps? It has been done a few times. They have to chnage the suspension over as well as this is harder and lower than a standard 45. Interior changes, dash binnacle has MG logos on the dials. Chrome was a 45 feature and not used on any MG. What colour are the front indicator lenses? Not always a clue as the 45 had white as standard with the ZS having amber, however many retro-fit the white units. What colour is the car again? and is this standard from the factory? Not many using the same colours, can only think of some dark blues.
