306 1.6 xs

Yeah they do,

Engine is the same as a vtr so all those mods will translate,
...what year is it?
Different years have slightly different engines,
Pop the bonnet, Black top on the engine is 90 hp and silver top is 100 hp respectively

So yeah, saxo vtr stuff will be the way to go I reckon, could be costly though when a gti-6 engine transplant is relatively cheap,
But if you really want to keep that engine then a turbo or a supercharger could make for a good choice, I've not heard of any 1.6 8v turbos in a 306, saxo's/106's yes but not 306's.....might be worth a look...

as styling goes, fitting some phase 2 rear lights are a popular mod, and I think the morrette headlight's (twin headlamps) look fantastic on the phase 1, not so much on the phase 2,

There's still loads I haven't mentioned like stuff about the suspension and handling, any question just ask...

It's best to upgrade a petrol engine to another petrol engine....and upgrade a diesel to another diesel, trust me the paper work isn't worth the hastle...

dp engineering in holland do turbo kit's for the 1.6 8v
they specialise in PSA engined cars but they have done others....
have a look at there project's

they did a 1.4 8v 206 with an eaton supercharger and 2 KKK k03's
that had 175hp on standard internals using a decompression kit, but the thing that impresses me the most is that the torque curve is almost flat the whole way though the rev range...... might be over kill and only a slight increase over a gti-6 but how many people do you know with a twin turbo and supercharged 1.4 8v................
.................I thought so.....;)

Excellent, I'll be contacting them as well about a few things if I get a gti-6, I think thats the way I'm going to go, but I got to get used to the extra performance of the standard car from my dt before I run my spanner roll out

I wouldn't go for more than 8 psi,

look up dp engineering on google they specialise in turbo conversions on pugs and Citroens
but if you want some proper boost then you can get there decompression plate which is a safer option but not always the best way

having a bigger turbo doesn't nesserserly mean more boost pressure, a gt 28 will run to about 250 and is a bit too much for standard compression, get the decompression plate and you can run more power and boost, so I would suggest that option to you chap,
