I own an '88 Nissan 300ZX Turbo (thats the less popular single turbo Z31) that needs a turbo charger gasket, alternator, and power supply unit for the dash. I also have a '72 Datsun 240Z with some unknown engine issues, electrical, no seat belts, etc...
I love the Datsun (its a 4-spd RWD) but the Nissan is so close to being road worthy relative to the Datsun which still has some mystery diagnosis.
The only thing stopping me is that getting the exhaust manifold and turbo charger will be expensive (if done by a shop) or may be difficult for me to do by myself. You cannot access the turbo from the top, you have to lift the car up. Its a tight fit.
Is there anything i should know or any tips you can offer regarding replacing this gasket?
