Hey Guys,
I'm looking to turn in Peugeot 206 into a track car... when I've finished with her. Currently looking at righting a list of what needs doing in my diary for her and I don't know where to start? If anyone could help me out with where to start that would be great.
She's a 1.4L sport and is already quite nippy.

Hi Louise and welcome to a lady that wants to mix it with the boys on the track |B

I have tracked cars over many years on a tight budget so my advise is to find a suspension specialist and tell him/her what you intend to do so uprated spring and damper rates plus a thorough check of all the ball joints and bushes and have them do a proper track car wheel alignment,

A rear adjustable anti roll bar should be fitted to help dial out some of the inherent understeer that is in all FWD cars.

Wider wheels with semi slicks will help improve grip and lower lap times as well as some on track instruction will help your confidence and lower times.

If your budget will stretch then a BBK brake upgrade will certainly help.

Aha yes always love being in the garage I volunteer at! Even better I’m the only girl!

Thank you so much for the suggestions it’s a massive help because I’ve never built my own track just worked on others!

Will be following your posts and track day reports with interest. |B

I have had some track day instruction to help with all the corner lines and braking points and am now learning to trail brake into the corners but am still practicing left foot braking on the roads to get up to speed training my left foot sensitivity and brake modulation and will be doing that on a couple of corners @ my local track in a few days time .

As TCJ recommends, brakes and suspension are my top tips also.

A fast road cam will lift the top end but could make the car lumpy to drive in traffic. If it is purely track focused then a lighter flywheel will help things fly along nicely.

Have you thought of supercharging it? It could make a fair bit more power but this mod will cost loads of time and money to get right. A low boost supercharger setup with lower compression should work quite well on this.

Look forward to reading your updates and seeing a pic of this awesome project, and maybe even a video of it in action.
