2005 bmw 330d rear brakes

Can anybody tell me how to reset the rear brake service indicator,local garage have replaced pads and wear indicator but don't know how to reset service indicator and on start up it shows 5000 miles.

You need a special tool to plug into the obd port. Call your local BMW garage and ask how much to reset.

Or you can get a cable from online retailer together with a diagnostic and service software and clear the error your self via your laptop
Just do some research (google) before you buy
And you can use it later on for lots of other things such as basic diagnostics or clearing the errors etc.
May cost you even less then a one visit at the dealership to clear the current error.....so more cash in the wallet, future savings and you dont have to always depend of your dealership.
...and there is always possibility of satisfaction IF you enjoy doing things your self of course

paid £35 for a local independent bmw garage to sort mine. The main dealer wanted £90. Suprised how much u do save, if i had the time i would look at gettting the port connector and software. Cheaper int he long run.
